I took a glance at Morton's advanced stats, and it appears he might be the victim of some bad luck with the obvious exception of his home run rate. Here's hoping he turns it around today. Looks like the JJ experiment with him isn't going to happen.

Also hoping for a big game from Andy today...

Cutch was safe by a mile at 2B. The umpire is blind.

His bad luck is that he has a 2 cent brain to go with his million dollar arm. In addition, he displayed awful control again today.

Yeah, I spoke too soon on Charlie. Four hits from Andy though. Now if he would just develop some power.

I was hoping he would be able to shake off those poor starts as well but I think after this start it's pretty well confirmed that he's down the toilet.

Positives:
14 hits today
Cutch, Jones, Crosby, LaRoche, Doumit all now have OBPs above .350
Doumit and Clement have multi-hit days and hopefully start to turn things around

Negatives:
No one is hitting for power
Iwamura and Milledge are terrible
Morton's confidence is gone and it's not obvious what to do with him
Didn't see the game but it looks like it was pretty bad defensively with the triple from Lee where he ended up scoring

I would personally drive Morton to Indy.

Indy won't do him any good. He's already proven that he knows how to dominate AAA hitters. He'll just go back to what he's always done, and that isn't working.
