I'm with you guys but.... 1st inning they score 3 on 3 hits and an error on Cutch in center.
Time to start against these guys. Come on Morton.

Sorry Charlie..............

Charlie has to go. The Bucs can't afford another head case as a starting pitcher.

Bringing Burress in is like throwing gasoline on a raging fire. He did do his job though but this game is over. Odds of this offense coming back and winning is very slim.

And to think I was pissed because FSN took over the feed from Versus and is televising the Pens game instead. My blood pressure thanks you FSN.

I'm all for running the youngsters out there as often as possible, but when a starter is giving up 2 or 3 runs an inning consistently, it may be time to look elsewhere. Our long relievers are going to end up with more innings than the starters!

Go Pens!

I guess I can cancel the DVR "record" command when I get home. Yeesh, another stomping ... then again, it is one game.

The bigger concern, by far, is Morton's horrendous showing. He is seriously ticking me off. How can a guy throw 95 with tremendous movement, and a knee-buckling slider at 88, and get lit up by a Christmas tree? He has to be tipping his pitches. Seriously.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Charlie Morton is killing me. And what happens this weekend when one of the Indy castoffs have to start Saturday and we roll Morton out again on Sunday?

On the flip side, Charlie Morton could have pitched like an Ace tonight and lost.

He needs to get his head together though.

True, and it would have hurt to lose 2-1, but I'd feel a lot better about the team's future if that had been the final score.

No argument from me.
