No kidding.

I've never been sold on Doumit and I don't think I ever will be.

Ever notice his picture on the live gameday screen? He looks dazed, like he took a rock to the head.

It's not even May yet and Morton is killing me.

When's Sanchez ready? :)

Not soon enough. Doumit's bat is the reason he is in the majors, and his hitting has been very mediocre for more than a season.

Man is Jonathan Sanchez the real deal...

Don't get me wrong: I like Alderson, but I really wish the Bucs had somehow gotten Sanchez.

Tough and ugly loss.

Only three hits, Morton got shelled in the deciding inning, the Huff Inside the parker (!)...

Bucs have problems playing back-to-back good games. Could rack it up to night/day games in this case, or their youth.

But all said, I think this is what was expected against the great pitching staff of the Giants.

Even though there is [obvious] room for improvement, I'll not lose sleep over this loss. I'll be more worried if the lack of offense continues against lesser pitching staffs.

Opposite coast day games following night games are tough. But it still looked like a pretty weak effort. Three hits...ouch.

Lastings had two hits today, so there's something to be happy about, but he outdid himself by seeing 9 pitches in 4 at bats today.

If Pirate fans lost sleep over ugly losses, they would look like the alpha to Rip Van Winkle's omega.
