It's games like this that I wish Pearce or, even better, a legit right-handed thumper was in the Pirates' lineup. Unless Clement can rake lefties, the Pirates may struggle against southpaws this year.

I was so impressed, I said it twice.

Good game for the Buccos, and good they won. Tough losing if you are up 3-0 after 4 innings, at home. Pen is going to be decent, if Meek can find the strike zone and Hanrahan can duplicate last season's production.

Wow! Great start to the season. It's only two games but the MLB Network guys are sure giving the Buccos some love. Great at bat by Cedeno tonight!
