Score is 2-1 Phillies after 2. Solo home run in the first for Church. Second run off of Cutch2 was unearned, error on the first baseman. Gulp.

Here is Finder's description of Clement's error. Sounds like it should of or at least could have been scored a hit:

Quote:
In the bottom of the first, Jimmy Rollins reached on a sharp grounder past a diving Jeff Clement. The official scorer ruled it an error, and got a dirty look from Phillies manager Charlie Manuel from the Bright House Networks Field home dugout. It could have been scored a hit. Then DMcCutchen hit Polanco with a pitch and Rollins stole third, and it was a critical situation (for spring) for McCutchen. He then yielded a Chase Utley single between Clement and Iwamura to score Rollins, 1-1. DMcCutchen settled nicely from there: Ryan Howard groundout to second, Jayson Werth hard liner right to LaRoche and Ibanez groundout to short.

Great. More grist for the mill for Smizik.

How in the hell does Jamie Moyer still get people out? His fastball matches his age (47).

Three keys to Moyer's success: location, location, location.

I've heard he's added hypnosis elements to his delivery. "That's, close your eyes, rest quietly... that is NOT a baseball you see".
