If the box score is correct, Hart already walked 4 in the first inning.

Sheesh, what is his walk total for the spring? 12-15? Maybe more?

FWIW, I started a parallel thread in the game threads forum. Don't care either way but let's all use one or the other. Hart's full line for the first inning was:

    1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 SO, 4 BB

Not something you see every day.

How 'bout 6 walks in 1.2 innings? Craptastic. Even by Rudy Stein standards!!

The concept of using K.Hart as #5 is looking to be a "non-starter."

Give McCutchen a start.

I'm guessing Hart is beyond mechanics issues now. All of the talk about his wildness, may have gotten in his head now and that is certain doom.

Moss strands runners and notches another K in his hitless onslaught.

Raynor gets an RBI in one at bat.

Moss has GOT to go.

Some context from DK's Game Log today:
Quote:
2:41: LaRoche lines a single into right to open the Pirates' fifth. Here comes Moss, now 0 for 18. (One seeks suspense where one can in these games.)

2:44: Make it 0 for 19, but it was a screamer to center. Man, this kid, when he does make contact, is not getting rewarded for it. That said, he also has struck out eight times. Not much contact in those at-bats.

From the game summary:

Kevin Hart's attempt to win the fifth spot in the rotation took another hit on Wednesday. Hart had to be removed just 1 2/3 innings into his start. He walked six of the 12 batters he faced and hit another.

The really amazing thing is he only gave up one run. Must be that "great stuff"!

Kevin Hart should do a tribute to Satchel Paige, and call in his outfielders. Have then sit on the bench as he walks batter after batter, in an amazing exhibition of pitching.
