Top of 1st

Nightmare first inning for Duke.

Duke Ks the first two batters before ...

Adam Jones triples. The ball carried to deep center and McCutchen wasn't playing deep enough to track it down.

Tejada walks on 4 pitches.

Wieters then walks on 5 pitches.

Scott singles in 2 runs.

Our good friend Ty Wiggington then singles in Weiters ... ball barely got by Crosby.

Montanez singles. Runner held, bases loaded.

Turner grounds out to end the inning. Orioles lead 3-0.

Bottom of 1st

Cutch grounds out.

Crosby grounds out.

Jones doubles, probably would have been out if he had gotten all of it.

Doumit grounds out to end the inning.

On a sidenote, I'm a proud advocate for facial hair, but whatever this beard thing Doumit is going for ... doesn't work.

Why does it seem that Pirate hitters try to pull the ball that is pitched outside to them?

Why don't Pirate hitters hit the ball to where it is pitched? Case in point: Doumit trys to pull a ball up and away grounding out to the right side stranding G. Jones on 2B.

Last time I checked, there are THREE fields out there: Left Field, Center Field, and Right Field.......use all of the fields there Buccos!

7-pitch inning for Duke in the second. Nice rebound.

Church flies out shallow to center.

Moss walks. Dave Trembley can't be happy about that one.

Alvarez doubles to center, Moss scores.

Pearce singles, Alvarez to third.

Vasquez doubles but is thrown out trying to make it to third. Alvarez scores.

Cutch pops up to end the inning, stranding Pearce. 3-2 ballgame.

Doumit singles. They like the two-out hits this game.

Church flies out to deep center. End of the third.

Moss grounds out. PISEO.

Alvarez flies out.

Pearce Ks and we get a nice glimpse of him shouting the F-bomb out of frustration on camera.

Daniel McCutchen looks great. 6 up and 6 down. In control with good form and very good command.

Donnelly now pitching. Throwing hard and looking impressive. Retires the side with 2 Ks.

Orioles haven't had a hit since the first inning. Unfortunately, there was 4 of them. Still, pitching has been stellar ever since Duke's meltdown.

Javier Lopez pitching. Walks Jeff Salazar after a lot of pitches. Yes, that Jeff Salazar.

Ryan Adams reaches after an error by Alvarez. Short hopper down toward third, Alvarez made a nice play but the throw was low and Pearce wasn't able to scoop it. Runners on the corners, 0 outs.

Lopez gets a much needed K for the first out of the inning.

An even more much needed DP ends the inning with no harm done.

9 Ks by Bucs pitchers thus far.

Moss Ks looking. PISEO.

Alvarez Ks on three pitches. All swinging. All bowling-shoe ugly.

Pearce grounds out to the third.

Veteran Will Ohman mows 'em down ... not that I was expecting much besides Alvarez.
