Meek came in and surrendered an RBI double and then an RBI single. Tie 3-3. Going extra innings.

Exactly what the team does NOT want to see, with the staff involved in 18 innings already.

Well it didn't last. Sues came in and gave up a double. With two outs, he gave up a game-winning single. Bucs lose 4-3 in 10.

In total for the offense, 19 innings, 10 hits, 4 runs.

The offense is really the question mark about this team. The top 4 starters and the bullpen appear pretty decent - better than some, worse than quite a few, but still able to keep the team in games.

The inability to get on base or hit HR's is a death knell to the offense. Jones, Clement, Laroche, McCutchen, Milledge and Doumit all need to produce above career bests to have the team avoid scoring 650 runs.

Ummmm, ,where we going with that one Bucfan.

Doesn't one need a career to best, first?

I wanna wait until ten days before opening day.. if the numbers aren't improved by then, I will start to worry.. right now, I am in the pitchers are always ahead of hitters column.
