If Bass didn't hit Cervelli, the Pirates pitchers would be tossing a perfect game. Cut him.

If you like pitching, you will like this game. 0 runs, 1 hit, 2 baserunners, 1 caught stealing, 2 balls out of the infield.

1-2-3. Pirate pitchers (Mahlom, Ohlie, Bass and Carrasco) have faced the minimum.

Very nice!

No offense, but you couldn't ask for better pitching and defense.

LaRoche had a very nice read on a ball hit to the gap, Cedeno had a nice play after his wild throw in the first. Doumit nailed a runner at second.

Did anyone see Ohlendorf's ROCKET throw to nail the runner a few innings ago? That was a thing of beauty.

Church just missed a wind-induced HR. Right fielder made a nice catch to save extra bases and Lasting Milledge just hit one to the left field warning track. Bucs bats are warming up.

If this keeps up, we could be looking at a no hitter shared among nine pitchers here.

And then Jakubauskas "hit" the next batter ... I imagine this will surely lead to a Yankees lead.

First rally of the day for the Yanks. A-Rod single, hit batter, groundout. Second and third, one out.

Didn't realize that Kratz is now catching ... figured it was Jaramillo.

Maybe they'll actually get out of this inning ...

Give Chris Jaberwocky credit. He gets out of it. Didn't look very good that inning though.

I'll be honest, this is one of the most boring games I've ever seen. The chance of seeing Alvarez and Tabata is keeping me going...

Our line-up can't compete with the WS champs, so I'm glad it is at least been a pitcher's duel.

Great throw by Kratz there (from his knees), thought he was out ...

Well, looks like this is the inning the wheels fell off, both for the pitching and the defense.

Diaz with a bad play at SS. Not a good thing when that's is your only strength.
