I know a lot of people have been down on Bob Walk lately but his commentary regarding Doumit's pitch calling in the bottom of the first was just great analysis. They had the Reds' hitter set up for inside heat but Doumit called for an outside for an outside fastball which the Reds hitter easily poked into RF for a hit.

Walk's analysis is, IMO, great listening.

I personally love it when Bob Walk is doing the TV games. For my money he is a very entertaining listen.

The game is very sad after two. Morton can't throw strikes no matter doumit's target or call.

How about Virgil getting ready-- have we given up on the game already?

Add Morton to my list of early contenders for the next "gutless wonder", aka "The Kippy Award".

The new White Flag?

Perhaps we should call him Virgil Vogelsong.

When watching the first inning, I asked myself "another Vogelsong?"
Kerrigan needs to tell Doumit . . . inside heat, keep pounding away . . . don't let him shake you off.

5-4; 1 out; bases juiced; pitcher on the mound is struggling; batter is 0 for his last 14; Garrett Jones on deck.

Delwyn Young just had a god da_n awful at-bat. Patience. Patience. Work the pitcher. Wait for a particular pitch. Uuugh.

For the first time since the Wilson trade I am really noticing the difference in defense between Jack and Ronny.

First pitch was in the dirt following a walk to the previous batter and he waves and misses. I agree, Uggggh!
