Mr. Doumit isn't playing what I would call inspiring baseball.

Surprising too because the father of one of No. 1's teammates coached him during HS years and said he is a ballplayer through and through. I have his dad's book and he wouldn't be happy with the last couple of days.

I was just thinking the same thing. They all have the perfect mix if of power and speed. If they fill out to their full potential this could be a very dangerous line up.

I would get Doumit out of the 4th spot.

4-2 Buccos. Andy with a triple, and we get to hear the worst call in sports by Greg Brown "it's a trip-trip-triple".

"Andy Laroche has no power."

Dumb-ass Yinzers who point out that Andy has just 4 HR's, and ignore the fact that PNC is death to right-handed power and the fact that he blisters balls off the fence in center and right-center.

Nyjer trying to make all the plays. Instead shows us how NOT to play the outfield. Nice throw. Catcher out of position too.

McCutchen - blue-chip prospect who was succeeding in AA at age 19 and AAA by age 21.

Do we get why stuff like that matters to baseball people?????

Cutch slams his 2nd homer of the night. 7-2 Bucs.

Even though Milledge just hit a pop up, i think he is really trying to show he is trying hard by ending up almost to 2nd base before the ball was caught.

Classic case of trying "too hard." He so wants to show that the Pirates made a mistake that he is making judgment errors. Turns a double into a triple, and a single into a double.

He hustled like hell on the pop-up. He is also displaying good plate discipline, laying off pitches just out of the strike zone.

Okay, I seriously dislike the "left fielder way over into the left-center gap" strategy. Just hate it.

Cost the Pirates a run on the Dunn "double" (which was a fly ball down the line) and a base on the Zimmerman "double" (which was a single into left that Milledge could not cut off).

I don't get it either. Especially with Cutch's speed in CF. :?
