It'd be funny if one of Affeldt's throws to first goes sailing off and Freddy gets into scoring position..

I guess not. No decision for Maholm tonight. I personally don't care for the rookie hitting third in the order.

A win tonight would be sweet...going against on of best pitchers in league...bats basically silent. If the Bucs can pull this one out, it would be great.

Take Capps out now before he gives up the lead.

I figured I would say it in case he did. If he didn't which he didn't then Capps lives on to lose another game for the Pirates at another time. :|

Glad you are still here Bassoon. I think they should have left Karstens in regardless of what happens in the top of the 13th w/ Hanrahan. He might have to bat now, who else do we have to hit?

Jaramillo?

I agree. I would have saved Karstens for later in case they need someone to pitch four or five innings.. we could be looking at a long one tonight, gents..

Uh oh.. a runner on base for the Giants in the top of the 13th.

If we can keep the Giants silent i think we could see a long one. Somebody needs to poke our players with a stick and let them know they game is still going on.

Freddy with a terrible throw to not get an easy double play. This could be the backbreaker.

Adam saves the day. Can we please score a run?

We have now gone 11 innings in this game since scoring.

BTW - For better or for worse, if Freddy and Jack sign this is what next years team will look like. Great defense, good pitching, and not a lot of offense. It's not bad baseball but we will have some long nights waiting for runs IMO.

Why didn't Russell do a double switch? Chavez could have pitched another inning. We only have Meek left, right?

Well Garrett Jones could end up being a godsend for us, and really help get this young team going. I don't know who it was that compared him to Nelson Cruz over the break, but i think you hit the nail on the head.

If Veal is able to pitch we have him left also.

Double play to end the top of the 14th. Another good defensive play from Adam, at least he is doing that.

Jones is leading off.
