Just keep this game close by Duke..

wasted oppertunity in 5th... is it me, or are the bucco's the wordt team with bases loaded batting average and 2 outs.. they are so poor at those situations..

Meanwhile i gonna like Andy more and more.. great plays at third (forget that one baddy) and hitting better and better..
just a bit more power and he could become one of my favs..

Andy comes through! Andy has been great since about May 1st. One of the best all around 3B in the NL. I think power will come but I'm not worried about it.

It seems like every team the Pirates have faced for the past two weeks, I've heard the Pirate announcers talk about their opponents bullpens are real bad...

It just seems odd to me, because I have almost no faith in the Pirates bullpen, but yet some of them have some nice numbers...

What a shame --- left 5 guys on in the last two innings. Hope we have another chance, his number count is getting high and may come out if we can get something going next inning.

As you see BostonBuc, he went back to the original pattern to get Jaramillo puching him out with the high cheese and then went back to all sliders, the first two out of the zone and the final one, the only strike to K Jack. Harden is filthy tonight.

Bullpen has actually been pretty good lately. Now there is the kiss of death. See the DK chat in today's PG.

Don't ever remember Freddy dissappointing like that twice in one game. Man leaving seven in three innings! Twice he makes the last out and even a DP.

Kinda takes the wind out of your sails doesn't it?

Well, we do get to their weak(?) bullpen for the eighth. Let's have at it.

Thanks for pointing that out. I was watching more closely that time through. I work while I watch but that's great memory on your part. Yes he is nasty. When Freddy looks this bad you know he is pitching well.

Well, Pirate offense getting shut down by the great Cub pitchers again.

Very frustrating. This is a very important series for the Bucs. They NEED to win these games. DAMN.

If I hear one Pirate say in an interview after this game: "You have to tip your hat to them" I'm going to throw up.

No offense but do something about those blue pants. I like the pinstripe jerseys though.
