Teke last night after the game said Greinke is a BEAST!

Greinke's only trouble comes in the first inning or two. If he can get through the early stage of the game, watch out. He gets stronger as the game progresses.

This game is not unfolding really well for the Buccos. Time to get on with my life, as the Pirates just do not have enough to overcome a deficit against a pitcher like Grienke.

Feeble performance by the offense. Yeah, yeah, Grienke is a good pitcher, but he is not throwing his "A" game so far. He is nibbling, leaving some balls over the plate. Adam has smoked two, Andy crushed one that Grienke lucked into snagging.

Way too many bad at bats. Cutch has looked at hittable pitches, and has swung out of his shoes on some pitches that were out of the strike zone.

This game is just disappointing. Poor hitting approach, some mistakes by Morton.

I'm wondering if all the talk of Grienke being as good as he is got into these guys' heads?

Its early, only the 6th.

But, DK looks prescient today in his pre-game coverage...

How many games in a row did the Penguins win going into the Playoffs?

I guess the Pirates don't have the same "stuff" the Pens have........

Sanchez takes two right down Main Street. The only question remaining for this game is, "Will Grienke get another CG shutout?"

The huge shift to left-center puts the pitcher on second with two outs.

DK's comment is befuddling. The team is playing well, getting good pitching, had a day off last Monday, and yet looks like an old team on a 20-consecutive game streak in August.

Lead-off runner on as Adam Laroche crushes a base hit for the 3rd straight time. All of those balls were just smoked.

Yes, the Bucs are starting to wake up. It's like that scene in the Wizard of Oz.......the tarp is coming out now.......there is a cell of rain right over Pittsburgh. It doesn't look like it's going to last long.

Bucs 1 Royals 3......a rain delay might be just what we need..... :)

It needs to last long enough for the Royals not to want to risk injuring Greinke. God wants the Buccos to pull this one out today.
