Pirates' lineup:

1. McCutchen, CF
2. Morgan, LF
3. Hinske, DH
4. Adam LaRoche, 1B
5. Andy LaRoche, 3B
6. Moss, RF
7. Jaramillo, C
8. Vazquez, 2B
9. Wilson, SS

Twins' lineup:

1. Gomez, CF
2. Harris, SS
3. Morneau, 1B
4. Cuddyer, RF
5. Kubel, LF
6. Crede, 3B
7. Buscher, DH
8. Redmond, C
9. Punto, 2B

This would be a nice series win if the Bucs can pull this out today. I absolutely hate our lineup today, hopefully Duke pitches lights-out and really shuts down the Twinkies. No Mauer today!

Man, how many infield singles does Cutch have? Seems like he gets one every game!

And on the flip side, how many DPs has Morgan hit into? Seems like a ton!

If you look at the last game thread, I mentioned this.

He had not grounded into a DP in his career until several weeks ago when he was safe, called out and ejected. Since then he has grounded into five more. He now has Adam LaRoche beat 6 to 5 in DPs in 2009. Just shows you how bad he has been this month.

He's had a bad month and they keep running him out...they need to sit him for a while like they did with Moss...Get Moss and Young in the lineup at the same time...

Funny you mention that...up till a couple weeks ago, Morgan had NEVER grounded into a DP..then he has had five since then. Did he have one today?? That would be six.

You know, the biggest reason for this is that he probably never hit so much with a guy on first and one or no outs, until Cutch came up. Maybe Morgan should still be leading off and Cutch hitting second??

Morgan needs to be hitting 9th...at all times, I'd have the pitcher bat 8th after they're done playing with the DH...He's not suited to bat 2nd

This kind of sucks, I'm already bored with this game. Hopefully the Pirates can generate some sort of offense while keeping the Twins off the board. I'm not confident in this.

I wonder if the Pirates know they actually have to play the day games after the night games...

Atleast they put the ball in play...They only struck out twice today (after 8 innings)

Yeah but Blackburn is a decent pitcher, not a great one, not real keen on him only taking about 100 pitches to get through 9 innings.

Blackburn received consideration for the STBHOF, but his ERA is a little too low to qualify.

Wow, i'm not sad i missed this game. Still we got 1 out of 3 when i thought we would get swept.

I was on the radio (via internet) today. It was ugly in that we didn't stand a chance to score runs. I thought w/ Duke pitching we could have won. Today was a game where I could have really jumped on the "it's our year" band wagon. I didn't expect much in this series but when you win w/ Snell you should also win w/ either Maholm or Duke.

Snell's mound foe was alot worse than Maholm and Duke, thus the more run support for Snell to win...
