In fairness, that's about as tailor-made a situation for Jones as it gets. Right handed pitcher and him being the tying run. As horrible an AB as it was, I don't mind the move at all.

When has Jones ever come through in a clutch situation or done anything productive as a pinch hitter? There is not tailor-made scenario for him; he sucks, plain and simple.

We were Hurdled in the biggest game of the season.

That was my whole thought when it was happening. Hurdle panicked.

Well it's been a good season....it's a shame our offense goes so dormant at times.

Hate to say it guys, but this FN game is over with Wainright on the mound. Great season and its one I will never forget, but the offense is stagnant once again

This is the inning to break Wainwright.

Now or never.

Do it.

I'm not even confident Wainwright is dealing right now. Monday? Wacha was dealing, nothing you can do when someone is pitching like that. I don't feel the same about the "stuff" of Wainwright tonight.

It's perhaps at the very least a very minor victory that we won't have Animal screaming the entire off-season about how Jones would have been better than Morneau if Jones came up with a hit instead of now going 0-2 in his postseason ABs including a 3-pitch K. Wait, nevermind. He'll just ignore the numbers and continue the "how can you say Jones wouldn't have been the better???" shtick he's been doing for a month.
