Well, damn.

Sad way for Melancon to finish the year.

He was amazing this season but his arm is shot right now. No ill will towards the man.

Helluva season.

It could have lasted longer and it would have been swell.

Alas, the bats were bested by arms once more.

What an emotionally draining season.

Looking forward to another.

One more acknowledgement of Alvarez's awesome postseason.

.375, 1.621 OPS. Perfect defense before the error tonight trying to rush a tough play.

To go along with hitting .324 with 3/ HRs the last ten games of the regular season.

I can't let this season go. I think I will spend November and December watching all the archived wins on MLB.tv

This is why game four was so vital. Had a feeling they wouldn't hit Wainwright...although I agree with IA that his stuff didn't look nearly as good tonight.

We all knew deep down that game 4 was really the finale. One bad pitch. The line in the postseason is so thin.

Three curve balls out of the zone. He looked great the whole series except that at-bat when he regressed into Bad Pedro.

Pedro was thinking long ball during that at bat, hated to see him end the season with a K. He had one helluva postseason.
