Well, at least my reverse psychology jinxed it. ;)

Yep. Win tomorrow and you get what you came for. And nobody should be surprised by Hurdle. Great guy. Great motivator. Horrible game manager. He's been afraid to yank AJ since the day he got here...

One thing to lose the game playing and managing smart and just be outplayed. Another thing to stand there like a flippin' moron and hand it to them.

I think the hitters see the spin and know it's a curve - don't swing at it.

Ever.

Yes, he throws a lot for strikes, but a whole lot more in the dirt.

Just take his curve, sit on the fastball. That is what teams do to have any success against Wainwright.

He's not exactly seeing that Wainwright curveball very well.

I feel the pitching matchup favors us more than this one did. Even if AJ pitches okay in this game, Wainwright is very good. Cole just need to do what he has been doing. Lance Lynn is very hittable.

Thanks, buccoboy. Boy, I sure didn't see this happening. Talked to my brother last night. He said that if Molina hadn't gotten hurt St. Louis would've won the divisiin by TWENTY games.

Might as well get all the bad mojo out now. If we lose 20-1 it still is only one loss. Gee whiz, the wheels are off and rolling down the street and getting run over by an 18 wheeler.

The Academy has certainly nominated it for consideration. That being said, we really just needed to get one game here (doesn't mean you do certifiably dumb shit for no particular reason though). Hurdle is incredibly lucky the turnaround time is so quick so he only has to get grilled for a short amount of time. He simply was garbage tonight. It happens, we move on.
