The back-up QB presented with another opportunity to shine. That ought to have some folks pretty excited.

The Cardinals have been one of the most laughable franchises in sports history. It's fun to have no connection to the team and watch it all over the years. I did have season tickets for a couple of years but gave it up when I could get $5 tickets at anytime from someone on the street outside Sun Devil Stadium.... 8-) 8-)

Well played. If Mercer goes 1-4 with two Ks and doesn't boot a ball or two-hop throws to first base he'll be an improvement over Barmes' recent performances.

I was surprised when they regressed so quickly after their super bowl year.

Have they found a QB yet? You have to start with that.

This is probably the best offensive lineup the Pirates can field against a RHP. Here's hoping they can do some damage tonight.

They were arguably better the year after. Then Warner retired, Boldin left, and they sucked again.

I stopped closely following the NFL a couple years ago (when I quit playing fantasy football, I noticed that I didn't actually care about football all that much) but yeah, I don't know if I'd put Arizona even bottom five perennial bad franchises at the moment. They were obviously bad for a long time but turned the corner in the previous decade. Oakland, the two Ohio teams, Jacksonville and Kansas City would all come to mind before them.

Jake Plummer was a fun time but other than the Warner years they have been pitiful. Crappy ownership, bad FO etc. I spent many pleasant Sundays at Sun Devil Stadium with 25-30000 others... :P :P

Never should have happened. The 2-2 pitch to Fielder was strike 3 but the umpire gagged. Not even close. Strike 3 to Pheralta was the exact same pitch... 8-) 8-) 8-)

Don't know how the Arizona cardinals got into the subject, but honestly I don't think I've ever met a cardinals fan in all my life. Not even when they played in st.louis.
