Like I said, the last week or so the offense has not been producing. We won two 1-0 games. And we played 2 poor astros and cubs teams.
AJ pitched great, only gave up two runs. Should be enough for us to overcome. Estrada pitched very well too. But the offense needs to step it up.

It's this offense that I've always been concerned about and I still am.

They have to start winning games when they're up against other team's best or better pitchers, OR when their best or better pitchers are on the mound like AJ.

They have to start scoring enough runs to win these games.

We seem to win games in later innings, against teams bullpens. Frustrated because we aren't gaining any ground on cinci and st.louis.

Currently, the Pirates would be the #2 Wild Card.

Yeah, a little bit. I'm not starting a game thread, maybe they jinx the Buccos for Brewers games.

I'm actually thinking Locke and Rodriguez get roughed up. I'm hoping I'm wrong, really wrong. Getting swept in Milwaukee would be unbearable after a nice 9-2 homestand. Either way the weather is beautiful in Wheeling , WV and its a great day to go hit 18. Hope the buccos can pull it out. Go pens!

It's overcast and a damp 50 in Chicago. I'm jealous you're hitting the links today. Unfortunately I have the same bad feeling you do about the next few games. On a positive note, the Buccos have proved me wrong more times than not this year!

I don't. I think the bucs take next two. We faced there best pitcher last night. I'm not afraid of the brew crew anymore.
