Hey, who's that skinny guy on the right with Bonilla?

He almost looks like Barry Bonds, but about 65 lbs. thinner and without a Macy's Parade float for a head!

Pedro on the bench against Bedard. If there was any time he should be in the lineup it's the day after putting a ball in the river with Bedard on the mound.

But I should hold my tongue, the pirates probably have tons of data about how Pedro does against 15 pitchers similar to Bedard. Only question is which little league teams those 15 comparables are currently pitching for...

Yeah, I don't like it. Seems like they're going a bit overboard with the platoon advantage strategy since they're already (rightfully) doing it on a daily basis with the RF and 1B platoons. And if the mentality is to try to keep his composure and confidence up and they fear a 3K game against a LHP or something will be demoralizing, well, if would make more sense if it wasn't Inge that you were replacing him with.

This is what I said in another post. Alvarez has to play. If you have someone better than Inge to replace him with against left handlers then maybe it would be acceptable strategy. They definitely are taking this right/left thing a bit too far.

Jesus Christ, just looking at Bedard's miserable, unhappy, weepy, hang-dog face makes me want to punch him.

Oh, and the fact that Sergeant Sadsack is mowing down the Pirates? @#$%^$%@^@^

Bucs need to get the bats going! Wouldn't be surprised if Pedro pinch hits at sometime during the game.

How can that be a hit to Inge. That would have been a boot in my softball league.

Not sure what Inge was doing there. Tripping over his own feet? Gotta get that out at first base to start the 5th. Communication.

The sleepwalking through the early frames is becoming something of a habit for the Buccos.

Two words, batters:

Eric @#Q%$ing Bedard

Pirates have been a late inning team.

Oh yeah, how about scoring some runs. Right handed lineup against a left handed pitcher.

Burnett swinging and missing on the first pitch of that AB rather than bunting, followed by missing the bunt on the second pitch and then GIDP was just very bad. And a half inning earlier, one thing you can't do against the Astros is walk their no. 2 hitter on 5 pitches to bring up Altuve with a runner on third. Really ugly way to give up a run and eliminate a baserunner.
