Again Pedro fails to make a routine play.

Shouldn't this be the other way around?

This sucks.

Then again, at least we're not Maple Leaf fans.

The Pirates sphincters tighten every time Milwaukee is in the same ball park.

Only 4 hits off a crap pitcher, our ace bringing his C game, three errors and the Brewers steal six bases.

Michael McKenry cannot catch the next two games. Seriously, you cannot just give teams bases like they were Tic-Tacs.

19-62 since 2008. Has there ever been more of a beating in MLB history? Oh well, I'm sure there has been.

I'm more of a lover than a fighter. Never wanted to start a brawl, never wanted to be in one. Obviously there's a reason in a fight, whatever the sport might be, boxing, MMA, karate, that you can't just grab another's dude nuts. See, its leaves you defenseless crying like a bitch, a little bitch.

The brewers are squeezin the pirates nuts.

Old McDonald just moved up to second on the depth chart? He shouldn't get playing time otherwise.

Maybe if the PBC is so worried about defense they should call up their former first round pick. Heard he's comfortable calling games and has a very good arm. Who gives two shits if he can hit major league pitching or not. Ask McDonald if hitting is important to pirate backups or not.

I wish MLB had a 7-day DL for something other than concussions. If so, Sanchez probably would have been with the club.

Estrada is sporting a 6 ERA for a reason.

That reason? He sucks.

And a 3.86 xFIP which is generally viewed as average to above average and a 3.63 SIERA which is also generally viewed as average to above average.

And that's not even mentioning the fact that he averaged over a strikeout per inning and sported a 3.64 ERA and a 3.48 xFIP last season while being a 3.1 WAR pitcher which would have been the best on the Pirates last year (yes, better than AJ).

It's easy to dismiss a pitcher based upon a bad ERA which is likely due to his astronomical HR/FB rate this season. It's not so easy when you look at the numbers and see that the guy is actually pretty good at throwing from the mound.

Truth.

But I refuse to allow facts to get in the way of my overwhelming vitriol.

Couple of points on tonights game. I was there and first I must say, the ball was dead. The Cutch drive to left that died and the Walker drive would have gone out on Wednesday night when the temps are near 80. Secondly, the air was dry and the ball had to feel like it was fully enclosed wiffle ball. While no excuse you could see they were having a problem with grip.
Third, SB-Six---I don't if anybody knows, Milwaukee has stole 47 out of 53 attempts in the last 2 years. So to put the blame on the Fort is crazy because Milwaukee has run on this team like a dog who just got off his leash. That leads me to think the Brewers know more about the Pirates than the Pirates. I am sure if you were to look, no team will have the percentage and the number of SB against another team like the Brewers have against the Pirates.
Finally, this team got down on themselves in the first, you can see when Barmes didn't come up clean in the first, Burnett had a look on his face as if it was up too him and only him. They were defeated from the start.

Milwaukee knows something---I am almost 100% positive they know signs and are picking off pitches against the Pirates. The Pirates need to change it up and do something to force Milwaukee to think differently.

I just don't get it....this Estrada guy throws strikes and always seems to pitch really good against the Pirates yet he has an ERA over 6.00.

He just seems fearless against the Pirates mowing them down.

A definite candidate for STBHOF...a definite candidate.

When the Brewers seem to be struggling, just play the Pirates and that will cure them...disgusting...

It has been six outs ... let's wait and see what happens before throwing in the towel.

...and you were saying?

Can't win them all....it really doesn't matter who you play, the brewers or whoever, you're going to lose when the fundamentals aren't performed. The fundamentals learned as a youth. Make the routine plays, control the running game, drive in runners in scoring positions, don't beat yourself. I have become to hate the brewers as a fan more than any other team because they beat the hell out of the team I've loved as a small child.

Fundamentals is a must. If its in there heads, if they tighten up because its the brewers, then they better get it out of there heads. Its a game, a game meant to be played and enjoyed. As a kid its all about having fun, but when its also a profession, you better try to win more than lose. The bucs have done a good job thus far in the season. Now, they need to carry that over to the brewers, padres, ect.

The Brewers were stealing bacause, well, they do. Also because Burnett's windup is long and slow, and McKenry is below average to second.

A combustible combo.
