The Beach Boys said it best.... FUN FUN FUN!

This team, with no starting pitching, no hitting, a thrown together bullpen that just can't win, is doing just that. 3 of 4 from Braves. 3 of 4 from Phils and now 2 of 3 from Cards. If they can go into their own personal house of horrors, Milwaukee, and win, I will be convince. Great pitching..timely hitting...with help from the bench. What's not to like??

STARTER: Jeff Locke was fantastic. He pitched 7 innings of scoreless ball. Just 3 hits and 2 walks...nobody got past second base. GREAT START!

WIN: Locke gets the win, to go to 3-1 with 2.83 ERA! He now has 13 straight scoreless innings.

MVP: At a time when the bullpen needed a rest, Locke gives them 7 innings of scoreless ball to lead the team to this win today. Despite the good offense, I think his pitching performance today was most instrumental in Bucco win!

Honorable Mention: Lots of contributions today. Let's start with Justin Wilson. The late offense helped him, but he went 2 perfect innings to complete the shutout for Locke. Marte had two more hits including another one to lead off the game. Tabata K'd three times but hit solo HR to give the Bucs a 2-0 lead. JoMac had an RBI double and played steller defense making a couple great plays.

Star #3: Pedro continues to hit the ball well...(When he hits it!!!!) He went 1-4 plus a walk, but had another nice hit off a lefty, a two run single.

STAR #2 Garrett Jones. On an ordinary day, he would probably be the #1 star. But not today. He went 3-4 with a double, a HR, a walk, 2 runs and an RBI....just missed the cycle by a triple!.

STAR #1: Russell Martin!!!! 3-5 with a double and 2 HR....2 Runs, 3 RBI. Hope I don't jinx this, but have we FINALLY made a good free agent signing? He is now up to .267 with 5 HR. And the best defensive catcher we have had in years!
