based on gameday strike zone, looks like JMac is getting seriously squeezed.

Hilarious, right after McCutchen's single MLB Network decides to show Cliff Lee game highlights while the pundits gush over how great he has been. They then show highlights from the inning including Marte's walk, McCutchen's single and Gaby's RBI hit, to which they cut back into the studio with a "what I was about to say right before we cut out of the feed there, is that the thing about Lee is that he pounds the strike zone so of course he's going to get hit ..." no, you had the highlights ready to roll before the two-out walk was drawn and fully expected a 1-2-3 inning.

Huge brain fart by Utley there. They had no chance at Snider at home. Yet, he threw it and allowed Jones to advance to second base and takes away a DP chance.

Keep adding runs here. 3 run lead is so much better than a 2 run lead.

Rarely do I agree with Hurdle's bench management but that PH with Jones was a perfect example of utilizing his platoon strength to get to the RHP. Not that it's a genius move to go with your best PH option there, but those are the types of match-up workings you want to see.

Awesome slide by Marte. Awful throw by RFer.

Alvarez just brought down a plane flying over the stadium.

Yeah I loved Greg Brown's hyperbole (purposeful) invoking Stargell on that foul ball shot.

Run #6 looking very nice right now. 2 run lead in 9th far better than a one run lead. Go get it back!

Can't believe no one commented on Charlie Manuel's Clint Hurdle moment in the eighth.

With the Phillies down 3 runs in the eighth, Chase Utley bunts a runner from second to third.

He was bunting for a base hit. It was not a sacrifice attempt. Alvarez was playing well off the third base line and was also playing deep. Utley thought he'd catch him sleeping and did not execute the bunt well.

I think that it was game #1 where Utley successfully pulled a similar play off.

Pedro is CLOSE. I may have been watching on computer at work,* and he hit two balls as hard as they can be hit. The bat meeting the ball sounded like a Howitzer.

* I take the 5th.

He was clearly bunting for a hit with the 3B back, Wehner said emphatically that it should not be scored a sacrifice.
