Bats could've continued. The storm was going to pass. Sheesh. Sanchez looked good against the bottom of the cards batting order. He was probably gonna get roughed up in the next half of the third.

More storms tomorrow and the next day and the next day.

According to NOAA, Friday and Friday evening seems like the best chance for a rain event this week.

This was clearly Pedro's fault for hitting a ball hard to CF. We just can't have that.

I'm not sure why they called it so quickly the rain and storm was gone by 9:45 or so. My guess is that they didn't want to have another bullpen game and favored a quick call.

My understanding is that the home team can determine whether to postpone the game or not up until the time it has begun. Once begun, the umpires are the ones to decide whether to wait it out or cancel.
