I actually forgot about this. I love it! Great work, Colin Dunlap. Time to send a message Buccos, this team won't role over.

I disagree, no reason to goon it up because of a series that happened the middle of last year. And I was at that game in Cincinnati where Leake plunked Harrison, I highly doubt that it was intentional. Now, Chapman beaming McCutchen when there were two outs in the ninth the night before, yes, that was low and reason for concern. My idea of "retribution" however is just winning the game. With as a dangerous as the Reds offense is, I'm not going to be putting any free men aboard tonight by hitting their batters. The article trying to draw parallels between the second half collapse and that series as if the Pirates were somehow shaken up about it which led to their struggles is crazy.

I disagree. I remember the feel of that evening and the let-down that nothing happened in retribution. It felt like the air was sucked out of the team, like they just got bullied and punked by the bigger, stronger team.

The Pirates don't need Hoka Hey, they need to play prison rules. They need attitude. They need a little Pittsburgh Steelers in them. Be hated, get an "us against the world" attitude.

Burnett probably doesn't know what to do under this circumstance. Run support? I thought it was just a myth!

That inning was a prime example of why Russell Martin matters.

Shaky start by Burnett but jams were escaped (for the most part). Way too many hitter's counts against a great line-up ... a shame that two of the three BBs came in the same inning leading to a run. Hadn't seen that yet this season, just like we haven't seen from the bullpen ... hopefully it holds strong here.

Did Tony Watson really walk Chris Heisy to bring the tying run to the plate in the form of Joey Votto?

Unacceptable.

Marte saved Watson's ass. And why are they letting Watson face Phillips? He has been awful this inning. No control. Bad move by Hurdle.
