Tabata pops up on a 3-0 count. Wtf! No patience at the plate. Why we aren't scoring.

It was actually a 3-2 count.

It started 3-0.

That's not exactly how making statements like "Player X _____ on a 3-0 count" works.

Just got off the creek. I assume I missed all of our offense for the next 3 weeks... :)

Pedro kos again. I've just had it with this guy. Tired of the hype. Time for him to start producing.

Pedro will get his homers. Because of that he gets a free pass for flailing at sliders in or out of zone, whichever, he can't hit em with consistency, and then watching meatballs down the middle.

Bad decision for the PBC to extend Tabata. Walker, he should concentrate on a level swing. Lots wrong. Locke this isn't the minors, you have to work the corners. Patience. With this teams offense its gonna take a miracle.

The pitching is looking good.

Serious question though, and surely it's been asked before:

Who is the 'clubhouse leader' or 'lighning rod' on this team???

The pitching, warts and all, has been spectacular while the hitting has been non-existent.

Much like last year during the slide, who is the guy who is keeping spirits high and/or lighting fires under asses?

It doesn't matter if it's four, six, or 30 games, this type of lackluster performance at this level is unacceptable.

One bad game out of three or four is tolerable, perhaps, but this ridiculous.

The bats BETTER get hot in AZ, as there will be no 'weather' or 'roadtrip' excuse to use this time.

Battle back, Bucs!

Only difference is that the Cavs had success with lebron. Made the finals etc. I think Bonds and lebron is more comparable. Since they both left there respective teams (cavs and Buccos), neither franchise has done squat.

And I think the Pirates have Cutch signed for several years to come. Although I wouldnt put it past them to trade him off for a bucket of chicken.

And why would any descent player want to come here? I blame that on shit ownership and management.

Also tired of hearing the small market crap. Teams like the A's, Twins and Padres have had success in the last 21 years. They are small market too.

The comparison, while made mostly out of jest, is obviously flawed as the difference between a five-on-five hoops game and nine-vs.-nine baseball game is nearly immeasurable.

Mostly I made it because it's obvious that without Cutch right now the Pirates would be about as good as, or maybe even worse than, the Astros.

But are we as good as the stros? I think this team does have talent. They just aren't producing.

On paper, they're absolutely better.

Thus far though the Buccos have collectively no-showed and are punch-line worthy.

It will be great when they perform how we all know they can.
