day 05 - a song that reminds you of someone

Reminds me of my Dad. We took a trip Florida when I was six. We drove and stopped in South Carolina and stayed at a hotel. This was on TV that night.

Day 6: A Song That Reminds You of Somewhere:

This song reminds me of the kitchen in my college apartment. The one that smelled like a "beer garden." One of my friends played it on his guitar the first time he brought it over to my place. Eventually I learned to play along.

Day 6 reminds me of somewhere. That somewhere is Slippery Rock circa 1975.

Day 7 The event. Seeing Eric Clapton at the Niagara Falls Convention Center with Santana in 1975. Both bands did an encore together and played a 20 minute version of this song.

Day 7: A Song That Reminds You of a Certain Event:

When I was in college we had a Halloween party once at my girlfriend's apartment and we were blasting the hell out of this song. Unfortunately, this drew the attention of the campus police and that party ended right quick. It's also my personal rule that if I am in control of the music I will never play this song before midnight.

Goldfinger is very English Beatish. A like.

The Journey tune always will remind me of the last episode of the Sopranos.

Ventures is killer with Jeff "Skunk" Baxter /session guy/Doobies/Steely Dan/ sitting in.

8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

Day 09 - a song that you can dance to.

I'm not much of a dancer at all. I'm big, furry, and male...Just bad all around. But give me a good jam under the right conditions and spirits, and I'll move to the music. This is also a fun song I enjoy playing the harmonica to with a local musician friend of mine.

Grateful Dead- New Speedway Boogie

Day 10, a song that makes you fall asleep. I like to throw a cd on the player or find a cool station on the net to listen to when I go to sleep. But if I need calmed after a long day, Jackson Browne works great for me. Jackson Browne- For a Dancer

Day 10 this is the only song that I ever went to sleep too. Use to play it on rainy nights on WYDD FM in Pittsburgh.

Day 11 Favorite Band-well not a band. Eric Clapton has always been my favorite. Some of his stuff recently has been spotty. The JJ Cale thing is way cool. Great song . I couldn't choose just one so picked my two faves. Billy Preston, may he rest in peace, makes an appearance here too.

On the latter, don't be alarmed, I found a video of him doing it in the 80's where he does a nice segue into Let IT Rain from Badge. I think it is at the Montreauz Jazz Fest.

Day 11 a song from your favorite band.

One of my favorite bands of alltime are the Eagles. One of my personal favorite songs of theirs, and one I love to play, is Witchy Woman.

Day 9: A Song You Can Dance to:

I can't really dance to much of anything but I suppose a slow dance would count. Here's my best guess:

Day 12-a song from a band you hate. Oh, too many to choose from. Every Nickelback song sounds the same, that's my final answer.
