Anyone else concerned about this merger?

America has long been a corporotacracy.

Borderling monopolies on cable, internet and media are nothing new.

This is not news, except to those who don't pay attention or think critically (AKA, 90% of America).

When is a 21st Century Teddy Roosevelt going to run for office?

I don't think Teddy Roosevelt would object to this merger. And even if he did, he'd be running up against a Supreme Court that is heavily influenced by the Chicago School of Economics - the very institution that touts the publications of a Judge Robert Bork.

Teddy was president before the Federal Reserve Act. There is nothing that any president can do as long as a private bank continues printing our money.

It is true that we continue to move away from the basic tenet of capitalism. The 'invisible hand' (wherein we the consumers get the best possible product at the best possible price when competition reigns supreme) is again being destroyed. It is the way of the 1880s and without government protections, which seem to have vanished, capitalism is again becoming so one sided that the middle class is being destoyed by the greed of corporations.

Oh I forgot, we don't want government involved in our lives, those dirty bastards.

Non-sequitor of the year.

How is it a non sequitur, Mr. Willton? Isn't the Federal Reserve the source of all our woes? When the chairman of a privately owned bank wields more power and influence than
a nation's president I'd say things are not right in that nation.
