Mrs. AZBF and I making our first trip up here. Drove about 200 miles east from Vancouver to Kelowna to see No. 1 play. Pretty cool place. Great people. Not cheap. 6 pack of beer is $15.00.

AZ, if time permits, you should consider taking the ferry from Vancouver over to Victoria, the BC capital, and treating the Mrs. to just possibly the most charming city in all of North America. Not to be missed, if you go, is world-famous Butchart Gardens, a few miles outside Victoria.

Was in Vancouver last February- beautiful city. A ton of new construction at the time as they were preparing for the winter Olympics. I'd recommend the Capilano suspension bridge if you aren't afraid of heights- it is the world's (longest? highest?) cable suspension bridge over a canyon, with short (<0.5mi) hiking trails through some coniferous forest. Its about 30 min north of Vancouver.

Thanks for the tips. We drive to Bellingham,Wa. manana. No. 1 threw 2 1/3 last night. Starter only lasted two outs in the first. He came in and got out of it. Had a shaky 2nd. He is working on some mechanical things. I think it is also mental mostly. HE got hit in the back by a line drive in that inning which seemed to focus him believe it or not. After getting hit, he cruised through the rest of that inning and the next. Has a baseball sixe bruise jus left of center and a nice c shaped line where the stitches of the ball left there trademark print. Will be sore today but bulldogged it through. It was fun. Glad he is ok. 8-) 8-) 8-)
