It looks like Mr. and Mrs. IA Pirate will be packing our bags and moving from Omaha to Kansas City! As of this morning she received an offer from KMBC-TV (the ABC affiliate) and will be reporting on both the morning show and the 5:00 and 6:00 PM shows. She'll also be the fill-in anchor for all newscasts. With my job I can transfer anywhere so as long as the house sells it should be a fairly smooth transition.

Don't worry, I won't become a Royals fan!

Congrats IA. I liked Kansas City the times I have been there. Nice city.

I always wondered what you did for a living? Care to elaborate? I know you aren't one of those stinking lawyers that have taken over this board. :D

I'm an insurance specialist in a financial advisory firm. I'm pretty much the guy people don't want to talk to until it's too late! ;)

You'll have to wear a Dave Kerwin jersey and see if Kendall sees you

ummmm, IA? Don't you know it's fashionable to schedule hour long prime time specials to announce these things now? Get with the program, man.

Seriously though, best of luck on the move.

I do still have a Kendall jersey from his Bucco days. I'll certainly wear it and see what kind of reaction I get!

Good luck IA family!

Do the football Cyclones play another game in KC this season?

I have fond memories of Royals Stadium in the seventies..
Saw the Yankees (I was ticked 'cause Bucky Dent didn't play lol) and Rangers games.

Thanks Ollie!

Yes sir, Iowa State plays Kansas State at Arrowhead in October. Also, the Big 12 basketball tournament is there for the next four years! Good times!
