One sentence can sum up that article: 'young people don't care about health care because they think they are going to live forever.'

Although I am skeptical about those numbers, the nice thing about this is that young people are concerned with current issues and the government process. The one concerning factor, though, mentioned how the population who turned up to vote in Obama did not show up for other elections. The election of the president is clearly the most sexy election to participate in, however, the election of the state and US legislatures are probably more important. People need to get into voting in those elections, not just the presidential election.

Anyhow, it's nice to see young people interested.

Liberals become liberals because they care more about social issues than they do about economic issues. Conservatives become conservatives because they care more about economic issues than they care about social issues.

If you sit down and think about it, I promise you that you care about one more than the other.

Not really. In my mind, they go hand in hand.

Personally I care more about social issues, unless some parasitic liberal is trying to take my money from me to pay their own bills.

This is an absolute myth. To be quite honest, this is as bad as thinking strictly along party lines.

I agree that you can't just put people in boxes like that. How to label a person who cares about increasing minimum wage (an economic issue) is just one area. How about the cost of health care? There are numerous areas where there is a natural over-lapping. Not a good definition.
