This pole seeks a survey of board members about our favorite naysayer, estrago.

I've had my limit and it isn't as easy as using the Ignore feature. This is supposed to be the time of optimism but his copy and paste comments have become tiresome. I find myself checking this site less and less because of him. Because of that...well, you know the answer.

The sad thing is I was willing to give him a (2nd? 3rd?) chance just a few weeks ago.

I don't hate estrago. Count me among the ones voting for the second option. Everyone needs a little antagonist sometimes :D. That being said, there is very much collective baseball knowledge on this board and I like that he sometimes represents and defends the people who don't follow baseball as many of us do.

I vote EstrangO is full of crap. Everything is a Watergate conspiracy to him.
If you can't stand what the Pirates have done or are doing now and
you think it will never end, I say find a new entertain stream. I gave up for
a few years, and got into reading and watching other sports to bide my time. I for
one don't believe in just spewing vemon and hate for something over and over
again. If you hate it that much walk away its not worth the stress. What would
have EstrangO done if it become a reality and Mario did buy the Bucs
but kept doing everything the same way that things have been for the last
few years? Still blame Mr. Nutting?? Get over it dude.

I don't hate 'estrago' the person. I don't know him, he could be a caring father, loving husband, hard worker, etc. As a poster on this board, though, my feelings are as close to hate as you can have on a board. He provides little to no value to the board. While the little value you talk about him providing (defending those that don't follow baseball as closely as the bulk of the board members) it is so overwhelming drowned out by his repetitive drool that I can't stand it. I have tried to use the 'Ignore' feature, but there are enough people that don't 'ignore' his crap that the replies to his crap in many threads usually hijack the flow. 'Ignore' just doesn't work...so my opinion is time to go, estrago!

I hate his online persona as well as the person. Anything and everything he stands for. The fact that he is even allowed to breath is irritating to me. I would be much more involved in this board but for him. He has no redeeming qualities what so ever.

As I have stated before, I see this message board like a tavern or a hang-out where I can go to relax, enjoy others with similar interests' company and even have a lively, heated debate. But if some pest comes around my table every two minutes preaching the same message, I'm probably going to find another bar.

At some point, the people who run the bar have to ask if they want to facilitate the pest and have an empty bar or facilitate the many and escort the pest to the door.

I am all for his right to his opinion, but I'll be damned if I'm going to stick around and have him tell that single opinion to me for the millionth time.

I am questioning my own wisdom too on that note but I personally find the ignore option satisfactory in regards to his posts.

I mean really, is there any suspense in what his posts will say?

The problem is he discourages people from even posting. I know I only post when I have to because I know I have to deal with that idiot. Would be a much more peaceful place if he were put down.

I've defended him before, but even I will say that this board would be a nicer place on the web if he wasn't here.
He makes every thread revert to the same fight. You can't even have any conversation, without it becoming about Bob Nutting.
I wouldn't mind at all if he kept it in his own threads, or even threads that it is relevent to.
I think this board would be lame with no dissenting opinions, but I could do without his constant negativity.

wow this is a difficult poll.....

for now in my opinion i would ignore him, and for the good-sake of this board ban him..

but.. banning or putting him away is not the answer...

Estrago... please bring up truly overthought subjects or change the context of some posts....

or please leave

The spreadsheet we received has 5 teams in red. Select a player from one of those teams who has not already been picked.

(Just two have been selected thus far ... Longoria and Mauer.)

By the way ... John Grabow is still available and would be a very nice round 1 pick.

I'm fine now. I was searching for some draft on the Yahoo site. I have The Rotunda bookmarked and never even knew that part of the site existed.

I'm beyond bored of his diatribes on the same subject over and over and over.

But most of all, his lack of willingness to acknowledge the progress being made in the organization from the ground up. Something that should have been done YEARS ago.

I find a bit of comic relief in how pathetic estrago truly is. How can one person harp so much on one topic? He claims to be apathetic about the Pirates, yet he's actually obsessed.

I've always just laughed and went on my way going back to his days as bull(i)shitter on another board. The few times I've attempted to engage in BB banter with him, he's ignored it most probably because he had no good reply. I guess since I'm not here all that often, I find him harmless and funny. That could definitely change once his clutter is filling up the board during the season when there's more to talk about.

The thing that frustrates me the most about estrago is his complete inability to have a rational discussion. Estrago is not interested in having a conversation; he's only interested in proselytizing and upsetting people.

At one point, I was against banning him because I'm not a fan of censorship. However, his posts have now become a source of harassment, and that crosses the line. Even the CIA guys wouldn't put up with his shit. He's been trolling for years, and I think it's now fair to ban his IP address.
