Neither were banned. They apparently took their vitriol elsewhere.

How would you know? I can not speak for Rod Serling but BH was banned. BH was called every name you can think even by the mods.

I also remember that BH was banned, and he richly deserved it.

If Rod wasn't banned he should have been.

This board is for Pirates fans. Criticism of the team and/or the organization is fine, but if you are an avowed antagonist of the organization, and your only point of discussion is to trash the organization, you are in the wrong place.

Why do you say that? Frank was actually a pretty cool guy and a great guitar player who wrote songs like no other.

Because certain people need to know what it's like to be on the other end of an unsubstantiated allegation.

I really don't care for him though.

In 1984, I took my wedding party to the Celebrity Theater, theater in the round here in Phoenix to see Zappa. About 2 years ago, I found a boot leg of the show. There is some great Zappa stuff on you tube too. I like your reason by the way.

Wow! That was a great clip, Argentum!

I admired Zappa for his incredible talent (his was really the first progressive rock act, soon to be followed by Sgt. Pepper and innovating bands like Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band, Gong, Soft Machine, Genesis, Jeff Beck, etc.. long long list!) his role as a dissenting citizen, and as a person, but I prefer the music of his childhood friend Beefheart, a former Mothers of Invention member himself.

Don Van Vliet aka Captain Beefheart is truly one of a kind. There is simply noone out there like him and and it pains me that more people don't know about him and his contribution to music.. let alone rock music. Avante-garde, experimental.. with frequent time changes, out of tuned instruments, insane lyrics.. but still with the spirit of the blues.

Anytime I can bring up Captain Beefheart I seize the opportunity to do so. Ha! Another time I'll discuss banjo playing madman Eugene Chadbourne or English avant-garde rock band Henry Cow.

Az, yeah.. lots of material. I can easily spend a couple of hours on youtube listening/watching performances of "St. Alphonso's Pancake Breakfast" and the like.

I watched his bit on an episode of "The Monkees" a while ago (our library has every Monkees show!! He he!)

BH was banned, and i didn't agree with it. I didn't think he deserved it, and i am glad he didn't get your IP banned, he was the first person around here to defend me when Elmer attacked me when i first arrived. I'm glad you were able to be put back on the board.

I have no idea what happened to Rod Serling. It is something none of the Mods will talk about. His name and everything is gone from the members list.

I think they may have deleted Rod's account and banned his ip. Just a guess.
Neither bannings were deserved. When I was around BH was never that bad nor was Rod. Just different opinions. They should be unbanned!

BH is back under the name Estrago, and i don't think Rod was banned, because like i said Alex P. Keaton recieved a full IP ban but if you look in the members list he still appears. So i think Rod must have deleted his own account or something. I really don't know though.

Yeah he deserved it. He didn't want to be apart of this board. He was the leader for the invasion from the CIA board.
