I'm new here at Pittsburghsports. I'll only stay on a few conditions:

First, that there are no old-timers rambling on about Roberto Clemente, Bill Mazeroski, Dave Parker and all those other losers who wore a white Pirates uni before the Huntington-Russell era. Nothing galls me more than reading some dullard rambling endlessly about how Rip Sewell played the game the way it was meant to be played or some nonsense like that.

Second thing is: no one can reply to me with those stupid faces or other icons. For, you see: I hate those things. If I wasn't politically correct, I'd say those things were totally gay. And while we're at it, how about if the folks monitoring these boards can filter out all stupid responses? I'm a pretty smart guy with an important job and I shouldn't have to deal with idiots.

Finally, no John Wehner imitators. The man is beyond pathetic. The last thing I need when I'm trying to have an intelligent baseball discussion is for some half-wit to respond with "strike three" or "foul tipped". This tiresome has-been wore out his welcome some 20 years ago and the idiots who admire this dope reflect poorly on intelligent Bucs fans everywhere.

I'm much smarter than most of the fans here, as anywhere (so no offense), but I'll do my best not to talk down to you nice people. I assure everyone here that you'll all enjoy my insights into the Pirates and baseball in general. I'll start posting as soon as my three conditions are met.

Just your introduction makes you seem like a jack a ss in my opinion.
Speaking of opinions, why don't you start your own board so no one has to deal with your selfish ego.

I have been a Pirates fan for over 30 plus years, so i doubt if you have any greater knowledge of the club and it's recent history, than i do.

So keep your opinions for someone who care's.
I for one, hope you just go away, and soon!!

My grandfather told me about a throw Roberto Clemente threw from right field that was almost as good as one I saw Dave Parker throw. By the way, did anyone see that home run Maz hit in 1960? That was cool.

:D :) ;) :( :o  :? 8-) :x :P      :!: :?:   :| :geek: :ugeek:

I remember that one time John Wehner hit the last home run in Three Rivers Stadium...

We only need two more board members to join and we will officially have 100 members in the John Wehner Fan Club. This is so exciting. His brothers Paul and Lloyd would have been very proud of "Medium Poison"

How does one claim to be an intelligent sports fan with the name "PIRATES_pwn_MLB"? When was the last time the Pirates "pwned" anything?

By the way, what does "pwn" mean, and how often does "a pretty smart guy with an important job" use this word?

Oh yeah: MazissuperSoisClementeIloveJohnWehner :D :) ;) :( :o  :? 8-) :x :P      :!: :?:   :| :geek: :ugeek:

Say, did I ever mention the time I saw Clemente pick up a line drive in the RF corner at old Connie Mack Stadium and air mail his throw all the way over the the third baseman's head and into the stands? That was awesome!

And the time I saw Willie Stargell hit the first HR completely out of Dodger Stadium on the fly?

Or when Maury Wills stole second and third on consecutive pitches?

Oh, and the night that Harvey Haddix . . . ;) ;) ;)

Gosh, it would appear that some are not taking these negotiations seriously. I sure hope this doesn't keep PIRATE_pwn from joining us. I think chatting with him would be swell. Anyone want to take a shot at what PWN means....I'm thinking maybe Poster With Nothing to offer.

Hey, NAD.....I think this is your cue.

Hey, brad: urban dictionary is your friend.

Sorry, I subscribe to rural dictionary and it says poster with nothing. It is derived from the original word "PAWN" which is what anyone who gives this guy an ear would be.

One more condition. Anyone with a Bob the Builder as an avatar must refer to me as "sir". It is obvious that a person who represents themselves with the image of a claymation character is only doing so to compensate for a small penis. Thus I am a superior man to you, and you will treat me with the respect I deserve.
