Wow, I can't believe it's been 20 years since this movie came out. I love it!

Ughh...I was never a fan. Thomas Ian Nicholas has annoyed me in every movie I have seen him in.

It doesn't hold anything to The Sandlot.

One of my favorites is 'Little Big League'.

Where was all the love last summer for the 20th anniversary of 'Mr. Baseball'?

He was in other movies?

Or, Bucfan's favorite: 'The Babe'? :D

Also lost in the madness of 'Rookie of the Year' is Gary Busey as 'Rocket'. 20 years later it's beyond surreal.

He was in other movies?

The American Pie series of movies. In the first, he was the principal (and least memorable) character who dated Tara Reid's character.

I should have added a 'wink' smiley, as I was being facetious.

He also did that 'Kid in King Arthur's Court' movie (or something like that).

The good news was that, as a child actor, he didn't go Edward Furlong route.

But then, baseball movies (if they're not Bull Durham or League of their Own) rank just below poker movies. For me, at least.

Oh those early 90's kids baseball movies.

Sandlot is certainly the best, but it's not so much about baseball as the others. Rookie of the Year would have to be second. Little Big League always felt like it was trying to capitalize on the success of those others. Never been a big fan.

Baseball movies are infinitely better than football movies, IMO. Not really sure why that is.
