The heart says Iowa State.

The head says Iowa.

Big rivalries are always a blast. I get the Steelers vs. the Browns for my birthday present, which is great, but I think that college rivalries are more fun. I can't wait until Paterno leaves Penn State. Maybe then we can have Pitt, Penn State and West Virginia all clawing each others eyes out every year again.

Good luck to you.

Sorry about the way the game turned out, IA.

BTW, that's a brutal schedule in the weeks ahead. Even Baylor probably isn't a gimme this year.

Yeah, the schedule gets brutal after this week. It's amazing that the 'Clones don't play either Texas or Oklahoma this season yet it still is a gruesome few weeks coming up.

Iowa flat out beat ISU on Saturday. Iowa capitalized on mistakes and took care of the football. It was a sloppy game too. Plenty of precipitation made for a slippery track.

On to UNLV! I'll be in Vegas this weekend!

IA -
Sorry about the "radio silence."
Was deep into work going into Saturday. Left the house at 4:45 a.m. on Saturday. Drove through brutal rain for about 120 of the 180 mile journey. Got to the Airliner at 8:00 a.m. After several Guinnesses, walked to the stadium and sat down at 10:30.
Game was not good. I thought Iowa played like crap and got lucky breaks with ISU's kicker crapping himself.
Like you note, it was a tough track and hard to gauge who was good.
I'm looking forward to Argentum's scouting report on Pitt . . . .
Good luck the rest of the way . . .
