I understand the Steelers need to protect Big Ben, but you guys passed on Dont'a Hightower.

I think Hightowers was the consensus pick because few, if anyone, expected DeCastro to be there @ #24.

So while Hightower would have been nice, I get the decision to pass on him.

The OL absolutely needed an upgrade.

And they upgrade some more with Buckeye Mike Adams. First round talent, but smokes the reefer. He will get a Mike Tomlin lecture his first day.

Great picks for Steelers. They have four very good offensive lineman now. Big Ben is smiling somewhere.

Good story on Adams in the PG today, he's from Farrell and always wanted to be a Steeler. After the failed test he personally drove to Pittsburgh and met with the brass to explain. They said he was off their board, but he could get back on if he did a list of things including counseling, which he clearly completed.

Spence seems like a very good pick in the 3rd too, I've seen him as high as an early 2nd rounder on some boards predraft. He's a very quick kid (short, but stout) who can play inside.

Colbert is having a great draft so far. Seven picks today with four 7th rounders. Still need a WR, RB, CB IMO.

The media fell in love with Hightower and they weren't far off since he was taken at 25. We could use him but O line is more imporatant.

O line has been the biggest weakness of this team for several years running. Those days are hopefully behind us now.

There's talk that Spence may be moved to SS, too. If not, he will learn from some of the best LB's in the league, which makes his future bright.

Good to see a DT added (from UW!!!) as well.

With a re-vamped OL, (and with Mendy hurt and probably halfway out the door) it would be nice to see a RB added.

It's likely, almost certain, that Wallace will be gone after this year and a return to more 'run-first' strategy may be in order. That, or BB will need more time to go through his progressions.

Either way, the OL picks are a huge plus and allow the Steelers to open things up.

This is fans talking. He is an ILB. He will back up Timmons to start. He is undersized but not too bad considering Farrior played at 230 the past four seasons.

maybe my steeler glasses are in my way but I see the Steelers with 3 future pro bowlers in their first 4 picks. Decastro will be a staple, Adams, although I am not thrilled about the imaturity, is still first round potential that we got in the second and I was very happy with the nose tackle from washington, I wanted us to take him in the third round but we were able to get a linebacker in the third in addition to getting our nose tackle in the 4th. Not to excited about the running back, sounds like a jerk with many character issues, we got an intelligent stanford grad in round 1 and basically threw character out the window with a few of our pics....I wanted that safety out of boise instead of rainey, but ehh we have done really good.
