The offense just upgraded, even if a chimp got the job.

^I agree wholeheartedly.

Sure, I'm 'thankful' toward Arians for 'helping' the team win a Super Bowl and reach another, but...

Yeah, will not be missing him.

How about Tom Clements from McKees Rocks, current GB QB coach? Although he may just get promoted within now that Philbin went to Miami.

While Pittsburgh offensive coordinator Bruce Arians announced his retirement Friday, team sources told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen the Steelers chose not to retain Arians

No kidding?

So it appears he is going to the Colts now. Uhh, well, OK. :|

Although I am worried Todd Haley may alienate some players (like he appeared to do in KC), I have confidence in his offensive coordinating abilities.

If Bruce Arians can help lead the Steelers to two SB's and considering Haley already helped the Cardinals to one, I have enough enthusiasm about this signing.

And now it's all but official that Ward is gone.

I'd like to bring him back for one last year (on the cheap) so he can be a 2012 version of 05 Bettis.

I don't think it will happen though.

So I just hope Hines never puts on another jersey.

How can you say that with an offense led by Big Ben and Wallace? The Steelers made the playoffs, right? and it was the defense that lost the game at the end.

Believe me. My statement is a compliment to Ben and Wallace and the rest of the personnel. Arians' scheme and play calling had been holding them back for years. And they still won. Anxious to see what Haley can bring to the table.

So far, Leonard Pope.
