Hide the women and children; this one has the potential to turn ugly. As in what happened last year to UConn vs. Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl.

It turned ugly, alright -- but in the opposite way that I expected. What the h--- got into West Virginia? They couldn't handle Syracuse or Louisville and just barely beat Pitt and South Florida but they do this to Clemson???

Unreal.

'course, Clemson only brought half a team to last night's game. Clearly, the defense must still have been at the beach.

What was the final score? I gave up at 60-27. This one was mind boggling!

West Virginia won, 70-33.

Headline in the Greenville, SC, paper this morning says Clemson "leaves the Orange Bowl red-faced."

Well, I guess so. No credible defense could give up that many points. Come on now! WVa can't be that good. The game plan was BAD!

So guys, my Mounties did ok this time. It's all about recruits for the future boys. We have a new offensive minded coach this season and it has taken a while to get everyone on the same page. Most of the offense is back next season so get ready.

Surprise! South Carolina newspapers are reporting today that Clemson's defensive coordinator is -- ah -- moving on because "there are some other coaching opportunities I wish to pursue at this time." And, of course, he enjoyed his time at the school and wishes the football program nothing but the best.

Apparently, he had two years and $1.2 m in salary remaining on his contract.

But he wasn't "fired." ;) ;) ;)
