Awesome game today. It's very exciting to see this team have success. The Flyers series won't be easy, but we should be the favorite.

I have a lot of bragging rights at stake. I already won some cash from a bunch of stupid Ranger fans. Yes, I called them stupid.

But some of the Flyers fans I know are my best friends which means I will have to fight guys who were in my wedding party.

Man, I love hockey!

They are stupid. You know why? Because they're Ranger fans. If you're a Ranger fan, ipso facto, you are stupid. That's just how it is.

Can you tell I don't like the Rangers? :D

Will this Stars-Sharks game ever end?

Yeah but unfortunately not the right way! I had been rooting for the Sharks in the playoffs this year due to them having my team's (the Blue Jackets') former enforcer, Jody Shelley, who they acquired at this year's trade deadline. I was really hoping they could complete the comeback and even it up 3-3 last night. It was a classic Nabokov-Turco goaltending battle from the very first OT and Turco came out on the winning end. Both made GREAT saves and you'll never see a better save than the one made by Nabokov back in the first OT. Team on the verge of elimination, down in the series 3-2, in OT and he ROBS Richards with an amazing glove save when I thought for sure the game was over. I watched the game on Versus but decided I better go to bed a little after 1 AM when the 2nd OT had just started since I had to get up in about 5 hours.

Longest playoff game I remember since, well, that Penguins-Flyers game a few years back! How ironic.

Nabakov was unreal that first OT. That game looked over several times and the goalies somehow kept the puck out of the net.

That was a great game and proves once again that playoff hockey rules!

Well its time to settle the score with the thugs, er uh Filthadephia Flyers.

As Mel Giboson(Riggs) said to Danny Glover(Rog) in the movie Leathal Weapon......

Martin Riggs: We're going to get bloody on this one, Rog.

My son had his Communion party yesterday, the men present almost killed me when I made mention that I was going to watch the Pirates over the Pens. I did it just to be a jerk, but was not prepared for the barrage that I received. The TV stayed tuned to hockey, and I'm alive to tell the story!

That's funny. I love the Pens but I'm rare in that I root for the Pirates over them and even the Steelers. I have no idea why ... they've given me nothing in return. That's why I feel completely OK criticizing them. I'm one of their few remaining paying customers.

Someone in Philly tried putting a Pens Jersey on the Rocky Statue and is under high security now...

Haha, that's really funny. I'm from the Buffalo/Rochester NY area, so naturally I'm a Sabres and Bills fan, but I have to applaud the Pens fan who pulled that one. I love antics like that.

Pardon the language, but I'm too pumped up for tonight's game to hold this in any longer.

FLYERS EAT SHIT! FLYERS EAT SHIT!

Pens in five.

My favorite moments in Pittsburgh sports history, in no particular order, start out with 5 Lombardi trophies, 2 Stanley Cups, and 2 World Series wins. After those nine, here is number 10.

Wow - That's definitely old time hockey. I'm a cement head and happen to enjoy a properly timed punch fest.

As an aside, the pace of the game is light years faster these days. I think Geno could skate backwards faster than some of those guys!

Keeping within the theme, here's Scary Gary kicking Eager's ass earlier this season. Gotta love the 41 year old showing the 23 year old punk what's fer!

2 World Series wins? That you've seen?

Seen as a fan, but not in person. I was also alive for the win in 1960, but I was an infant, so that doesn't count. The only World Series game that I attended was the win over Baltimore in game 5 of the '79 Series.
