Here we go ... here we go!!

Way to go, Steelers. QB suspended first 4 games ... LT gone in week 4 ... offensive line berated ... fines leveled against one of their best players ... Troy sits for a couple games ... Miller out for two games ...

And they win the AFC Championship for the 8th time.

... AND they traded their best WR for a 4th round pick... and the backup to Big Ben went on IR before the season started... and Aaron Smith was banged up the 2nd half of the season... and they fell behind by three scores in a 2nd round playoff game against BALTIMORE... and their best OL (and CENTER) Pouncey went down vs. the Jets... and Big Ben played like crap in the AFC title game...

And they win the AFC Championship for the 8th time.

 :o  :o

Still, to me... all this is still somewhat less shocking than the 05 run!!!

PINCH ME!!!

That 2005 team was damn good. Belichik knew it and purposely lost a game to avoid having to play the Steelers in the first round.*

*Remember that the Patsies played the Dolphins the last week of the season and if they won, they would have been the #3 seed and hosted the #6 seed (presumed to be the Steelers before the Patsies game started).

Belichik sat Brady the entire game, had Flutie drop-kick an extra point, had his 3rd string QB in the game in the 4th quarter when the game was decided ...

So Belichik knew the 2005 Steelers were a damn tough team. He purposely tanked that last game to avoid facing them in the first round.
