I'm really looking forward to this weekend. I think the Ravens/Steelers are some of the best rivalry games in all of sports.

Suggs talks shit but backs it up. I have infinitely more respect for a LB'er who bangs helmets with offensive lineman saying shit than a QB doing so. Or a QB who preens and finger-points and carries on when his team scores, but then crumples like 2000-year old parchment when pressure is around him. *cough*Brady*cough*

Personally, I find Sugg's "backing up of his sh*t" to be fully a function of the tackle across from him.

If its the Steelr'z plug in for injured tackle du jour, he is just great.

If it is a competent NFL tackle, he is not nearly so great.

Suggs has had success against pretty much every tackle he has played against, Mike. He was playing with basically one arm in the 2008 AFC Championship game, against Starks (a good LT), and came up with two sacks.

Sorry Bucfan, you lose me at "Starkey is a good LT".

The man is barely adequate as an NFL tackle. Feet are way too slow, which is why Suggs beats him, and he needs a "Heath Chip" to hold of a speed rusher like Suggs.

I am not disparaging Suggs, just trying to put him in context. He is good. very good, but he is not great and will never sniff the HOF. He would have a hard time finding playing time on the Steelers.

Yeah, I'm so sure the Steelers wouldn't replace a 35 year old Farrior or 30 year old Larry Foote with a 28 year old guy who gets 8.5 sacks, 45 Tackles, 2 FF and 1 FR a year.

I hate the Ravens and Suggs is an idiot, but let's not say absolutely crazy things.

Larry Foote is a backup. Suggs is not replacing Timmons.

He is not replacing Harrison.

He is not replacing Woodley.

He is an outside pass rusher, not an inside MLB like Farrior.

Care to tell me where he plays?

I agree, let's not get carried away here.. by Suggs.

It doesn't matter where Suggs plays, if the Steelers had him they could move him around in their 'exotic' blitz packages and/or give more rest to their other LB's.

And really, my point is, the difference between Suggs and Woodley is miniscule, maybe a sack a year. And for that matter, the difference between the Ravens and Steelers is quite small, too.

SB titles aside, the main difference between the teams currently is that one wears black and purple and one black and gold.

Most fans root for laundry. If Suggs was on the Steelers instead of Woodley, I think some folks would hate on Woodley as they currently are Suggs.
