I have watched Andrew Luck several times this year including this past week against ASU. I just don't see him as a franchise changing QB. IMHO. 8-) 8-) 8-)

Maybe Jake Locker. He was great before this year (injuries and other 'bad luck').

He will probably slip to the later rounds, where he could be a steal for the Bills, provided he can adapt to the pro game and he is properly 'groomed'.

Although I will say taht Fitzpatrick has shown to be a competent QB. Head and shoulders better than Trent Edwards (another former Stanford guy, so I get your hesitance toward drafting Andrew Luck).

Besides, I think the Bills have more pressing issues other than QB (OL and the entire D).

Against ASU this past week, all 3 passes that Luck threw over 20 yards to stretch the field were intercepted. Everything was dink and dunk, west coast style. Who is his coach??? Jim Harbawful. Anther dink and dunk guy. 8-) 8-) 8-)

Yeah, I mean all Harbaugh has done is make Stanford a top 10 team. Awful coach there.

With you Az, Luck is a paper tiger who does not have the skills to throw the ball in the NFL. Deep out at 25 yards? Are you kidding me, he has trouble with a pass to the flat at 5 yards (I exaggerate for effect!).

I don't see a lot of "pro-ready" QB's out there, but then I don't see everything, and what I do see is a lot of Denard Robinson's running spreads that will get them to be nice slot receivers and safeties in the NFL.

Well, that and the Byron Leftwich-esque stud QB at Auburn -- all 6-6 and 250 pounds of him. Usually, where there's so much smoke around someone, there's also fire. And with all the smoke around this guy, declaring early for the NFL may be his most practical option. If/when he does, you know some team won't be able to resist taking him high in the first round.

Yeah, awful schemes. They're ONLY a top 10 team.

Why do you keep adding words to my posts?

Did I say awful schemes? No.
His schemes were all dink and dunk ala West Coast Offense.
We have seen enough dink and dunk in Buffalo. Mostly by a former Stanford guy named Trent Edwards.   We all know how well he did.

I will repeat for you. All three passes he threw over 10 yards were intercepted against ASU. Luck is just not a franchise changing (except perhaps for the worse) QB. Not worth an overall No. 1 pick.

He could succeed for the Cards or Niners, two teams with plenty of offensive options and west-coast tendencies, but he would probably be a disaster for the Bills like you say.

He couldn't touch the Cards. In case no one noticed, Whisenhunt with Warner and Ben loved to go downfield.

Niner's have a carbon copy of Luck in Smith.. see what that is getting them.

Who dey? Dey the team that blew a 31-14 halftime lead yesterday... to the Bills!

Rejoice Buffalo fans, you're not the worst team in the league; maybe not even bottom three!

Several teams are mailing it in at this juncture. And to my pleasure, the Bills are not one of them. They will give the Steelers all they can handle this Sunday. Go Bills! 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

And that they did... unfortunately for them, Steve Johnson dropped the game-winning TD and then blamed God.

Double ouch.

Didn't hear the God part. These Bills are at least fun to watch. Something that has been missing for some time.

Steelers are not going anywhere with the offensive line they have. The left tackle was a Bills reject. He was getting beat like a cheap drum. 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

Andrew Luck is a very, VERY good QB.

ZM, he is so much better than Alex Smith that the two do not belong in the same sentence. Or paragraph. Luck is a bigger kid, with a better arm, more durable, more physically gifted, tutored with an NFL veteran, and who ran a pro-set in a decent conference.

Alex Smith is a somewhat skinny kid who ran a gimmick offense out of the shotgun 100% of the time, in a mediocre conference.

Smith was measured at the combine at 217 lbs. Luck is listed on Stanford's roster at 255 lbs. They are the same height. Physically, Luck >>> Smith.

Mentally, Luck >>> Smith.

Experience, Luck >>> Smith.

Competition, Luck >>> Smith.

BUT, Luck attempted 3 passes over 10-12 yards against ASU and all three were picked off. :? :? :? :? :?

I wouldn't be shocked if Luck turned into another Couch/Carr/Smith/Russell, but the fact remains he is going #1 overall; the only question is whether it will be the Panthers, Bills, Bengals, Cardinals, Broncos or Lions taking him.

With QB's like Flacco, Ryan, Stafford and Bradford showing great skills, getting their offenses in line and turning their teams around, alot of teams with QB issues will overvalue QB's this year like in years past (David Klingler, Akili Smith, Cade McNown, Joey Harrington...) and 'go to war' with them.

Luck, Mallet, Locker, Newton... I expect to hear said names called on the first day of the draft (and at least two of those names to never again be referred to in a positive light thereafter).
