I am not a big soccer fan, but that was actually a great game. The US became only the 21st team in World Cup history to come back from a 2-0 deficit and get at least a point.

AND then they scored the game-winner and it's disallowed and nobody can figure out why.

Pretty intense stuff.

Thank goodness England couldn't win their match today.. if the U.S. beats Algeria we're in the next round.

Horrible first half by Donovan and Co. but a terrific, exciting second half. That goal should have stood and we should have won that game, but to have one point after being down two goals is an achievement. I'm hoping that ref never is the lead ref again in a FIFA sanctioned game, he totally blew that play. And still he hasn't come out and said which American player the foul was on! Jim Joyce he is not!

The clown who blew the call was insuring that the US did not win the game.

There is no way to argue that he "saw" a non-existent, phantom penalty while "missing" Bradley getting bear-hugged and Donovan being put into a headlock.

I am not overstating, in any fashion, the contact involving the US players. I simply cannot believe that an official would blow a call that badly, in that crucial a spot, by accident. This is the difference between rear-ending a stopped car, and running over numerous pedestrians while driving 100 yards on a crowded sidewalk; the former can be described as an accident, but the latter cannot.
