Last Night against the Oklahoma City Thunder former Pittsburgh Panthers C/F DeJuan Blair stepped his game up to a pro level while filling in for Tim Duncan to help the Spurs top the Thunder 109-108 in Overtime. Blair who went 11 for 17 from the field and 6 for 8 from the line dropped a career high 28 points and a career high 21 rebounds(10 offensive and 11 defensive) and also added 2 steals and 2 blocks in 31 minutes on the court.
Blair had 10 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals and a block as the Spurs opened a 10-point lead in the first 5 minutes of the game.
Quite a night for the former Pitt standout. Sorry i couldn't find any coverage of this story so i just wrote my own.

Wow that is quite a night for a rookie who was not even a first round pick.

Sam Young is getting regular playing time off the bench in Memphis.

And the Pitt team had another big road win last night, upsetting UConn.

As I understood it around draft time, Blair was projected as a First Round pick but his stock fell when teams found out about his bum knee. There were quite a few NBA people who though the Spurs pulled off the steal of the draft when he fell to them.
