Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chris Henry died this morning, one day after suffering serious injuries upon falling out of the back of a pickup truck in what authorities describe as a domestic dispute with his fiancee.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said Henry died at 6:36 a.m. Henry was 26.

Henry was rushed to the hospital yesterday after being found on a residential road "apparently suffering life-threatening injuries," according to police.

Police said a dispute began at a home about a half-mile away, and Henry jumped into the bed of the pickup truck as his fiancee was driving away from the residence.

I hate saying this but some things just don't shock me. Had he not had a checkered past I'd probably feel a little more sympathy towards the situation. That being said, it is still a punch to the gut when you hear of things like this. It makes life seem more "real".

When I heard about it my thought was "What were you thinking to jump into the back of a pickup truck?"

For along time now, he has been an embarrassment to WVU as he played in Morgantown. But recently he seems to have gotten the message and I agree that it's always difficult to here of these things.

And I thought the samt thing "jumping into the bed of a truck"?
