. . . those of us who are Steeler fans probably won't have to go through the pain of losing in the first round of the playoffs. This team will be lucky to beat the Browns again.

Maybe it all started when Dan Rooney was appointed US Ambassador to Ireland . . . or when Roethlisberger succumbed to the charms of that resort employee in Nevada?

At least the Patriots lost again.

I blame it on the kicker trying to fight the Pittsburgh Police while the tightend was peeing in public

I would rather have the pain of losing in the playoffs, or fighting for the playoffs than be in the situation the Pirates are in when the season is over before it starts.

The fine line between winning and losing.....every game lost and (even games won) except the second Cincy game, the defense has blown late leads. Also the kick off coverage has been poor.
Why?
That fine line is with a few players missing from last year. Troy is missed...BIG time! Also McFadden was replaced by Gay. No CBs have a pick up till now. Today Burnett has what looks like the game ending interception hit him right between the 27 and dropped. That's the difference on D. The O has been more productive and the running is better. Also a few players were switched on KO coverage. It looks like that problem has been addressed, but too little too late.

BTW, Big Ben had his fling with the bimbo in July 2008

And, as we've just seen, they couldn't.

6-7.

Wow. Just wow.

I had a chance to go to the game...free tickets on the 50 yard line upper deck.
You have to wonder how did the Steelers beat the Chargers, Vikings and Broncos?
Oh well...at well at least the Pens won(had two TVs going...hard to watch hockey & football at the same time) and look to be on track to make the playoffs and defend their tiltle.
2 SB titles in 4 years..a Stanley Cup...City of Champions...if you are a fan of Pgh pro sports teams, you have been blessed....despite the baseball team.

I've never seen the loss of one player have such an impact. The Steelers are a totally different team without # 43.

You may get a very good player in the first round of the draft.. higher pick than usual.

And my Lions will knock off the Ravens today if that's any solace. :)
