Sarge comes through with the GW
Game 3
The Pens were outplayed for two periods yet withstood the storm. Give the Flower credit.
They got a break when they had an extra player on for over 20 seconds and were not caught.
Period 3 was a different story as the Pens were in control.
On to game 4.

Wow that was an ugly turnover by Scuderi. Pens had plenty of chance but only one goal. Fleury has been their star after first period.

More stupidity. The Pens are giving this game away. Fleury screened by his own two players and everyone watching Zetterberg skate around.

Dumb. :?

I have never seen a team rely on a crowd more than the Penguins. When the fans get into the game the Penguins start playing better. I knew after we scored that goal to tie it at 2-2 that we were going to score again because of the momentum we had.

But 4-2 is a pleasant surprise! I think sadly we will miss the "barn" aspect of the Igloo next year.

I wont miss Mellon Arena at all. I feel we don't get great events there besides Penguin games because it is such a dump.

The new arena is actually two seasons away. It won't be ready until the 2010-2011 season.

It's across the street from Mellon Arena. Where the hospital used to be.

Oh thats good. Atleast it will still be easy to get to. I don't like how hard it is for me to get to places like the Zoo and Kennywood coming through the Fort Pitt tunnels on route 60.

Pens win 4-2. It could've been 5-2. Back to Detroit tied 2-2

I really thought the Pens would struggle to win this game. This a great day! Now I'm going to watch the debut on the DVR. :)

When was the last time you were there? The walkways are narrow, the leg room is small, the suites/private boxes are pathetic compared to new arena & stadiums....and its just outdated. Like many older ball parks and arenas, they have some charm, but you can only renovate so much. The new arena will not be just for the Pens(not like the Steelers/Pirates hand out homes)so I dont mind my money helping for a community building.
