Whatever happened to the "Beware of the Penguin" commercials? I think they should dust them off for the playoffs.

Pens outplayed the caps but the power play still blows and the rookie goalie made a unreal save to rob Crosby

Its lookin pretty good right up. Up 2-1 and we are outplaying the Caps right now. They were lucky with the goal they got.

It seems to be that you never know what Fleury you are going to get. Sometimes he lights out sometimes its like there is a college goalie goaltending. This series is all on him right now. I know that is easy to say when it is the goalie but he has been the difference in the games we have won and the game we have lost.

Well the Pens lose also. 4-3, and are down in the series 2-0. I'm getting my razor ready because i think they playoff beard is about to go away.

This match up is the battle of the Super Stars. So far, Sid the Kid and Alexander the great have shown up. Malkin was last seen on the side of a Milk Carton untill he took a penalty that led to a Caps PP goal that broke the tie. Right before that, the Pens were on the PP and it was pathetic. The Pens also blew a 5 on 3 at the end of the 1rst period that gave the Caps momentum and was a turning point. Game 3 is critical for the Pens to win.

Pens win in a great must win game in overtime 3-2.

Series is now 2-1 Caps.

In this match up of Super Stars, Malkin is the best player of the game and the force behind a overtime thriller win for the Pens. The Pens dominated the game yet had to squeek out a win. On to game 4 and this series is looking like a 6 or 7 game classic.

Huge win. We have the momentum going in to tomorrow's game. Maybe Varlamov is a little shaken.

Either way, this will end up being a great series. Playoff hockey is the best.

The Pens win, outplay the Caps, but in game 4, Varlamov gave up some soft goals and is showing some cracks in his game. It appeared that Ovechkin stuck out his knee on Gonchar and knocked him out of the game....maybe for much longer. In order for a Super Star to get suspended, their action has to be obvious for the league to suspend them. He'll most likely be fined. Meantime if Gonch is out, how much worse can the PP get? No time to reflect...a big game 5 to be played as this classic series rolls on.

The Caps are getting too many shots on goal through the 1st period. The Pens defense either needs to step up or the Caps are going to end up winning this game.

Uh, saves would also be 12-11, no?

THe Caps did get off to a hot start and have an 8-0 shot advantage, but the Pens outshot them 11-4 from there on out.

Boudreau in the post game interview looks totally defeated. I can't believe the Pens won this game.

I have adopted a new rule and I will only refer to Caps player #8 as "Dirty 8" until he admits he is dirty, and apologizes.
